In this season premiere, Scotty B returns to the Heroes of Cosplay Sanctuary after a long hiatus with a renewed vision and a deeply personal mission. Titled “Cult of Personality,” the episode sets the tone for Season 6: an introspective journey into the personal and cultural dynamics of cosplay.

The episode explores how cosplay has become personality-driven, echoing the structure of influencer culture and feeding off validation, clicks, and follower counts. Scotty challenges the illusion of necessity that surrounds cosplay success — reminding listeners that it's not about replacing your income, but about personal connection, fun, skill-building, and authenticity.

He touches on social media shifts, platform fatigue, and the mental toll of chasing numbers. Through it all, Scotty reaffirms the core truth: cosplay is a space to honor fandom, build community, and express selfhood. But it can also become a “cult” if we let ego and external validation run the show.

Season 6 promises to dive deeper into the personality behind the craft, unfiltered and more honest than ever before.
